The captain and his club
Fencing Club Triangle was founded on 16 March 1929 by Captain and fencing master S.C. Olsen. There were suitable fencing rooms vacant St. Kongensgade 27 and he decided with a group of fencers to become the new Copenhagen fencing club, which was called triangle, presumably to symbolize that there was fægtet in all three weapons: epee, saber and foil.

The children were the club's future and therefore began the captain shortly after a special children's section, which was named MARCHEZ. It had its own board of directors consisting of three children who were selected by the captain himself.

The military era is over
After the captain's death in 1979 the club had to move and was offered a barrack in Østerbro Kaserne barracks at the club even refurbished premises for fencing. Young enthusiastic fencers who had received their fencing-related training by the captain continued his work.

It was made in the belief that every child has potential and that the experienced fencers help to develop it as much as the children's desire and ability allows.

The defense was in the meantime ceased to educate fencing masters, so that Danish clubs are now forced to recruit fencing masters from abroad. In the 80 employees Danish Fencing Federation, a Polish fencing master who distributed his teaching among the clubs.

The volunteer instructors continued to build the social and technical basis for fægterne could have met their goals and dreams.

For many of these young fencing was a key part of their lives. Dan Danish Fencing Federation in 1992 launched a foil-elite project in collaboration with Team Denmark were as good as all the young fencers from Triangle.

In 1992 the barracks were sold and the club had once again looking for new premises. Before the new premises were found burned the clubhouse at the barracks, so the club had to obtain a new roof over your head very quickly. It was an expensive lease in Århusgade Østerbro where the club here even decorated the room for fencing.

Scandinavia's first fencing center
The premises in Århusgade was within a few years too small to accommodate the nearly 220 members, the club in 1999 to invite 70-anniversary party. The years before had the club through targeted efforts continued and developed the values that made the club special.

The club may have new facilities and for 4 years there was no place in the city and the unemployed locals who have been asked by the Fencing Club Triangle: Mechanical Workshop in Elmegade, Søpavillonen, ferry Zealand and many more.

All locations were tried made suitable for fencing activity, but the beaches on either local citizen opposition or an economy which is itself a big club could not manage.

At last came Copenhagen in character and let behaving North First real fægtehal - who also became one of the finest fencing halls in Europe.

The triangle Today
The club's foundation is based on a large and fixed width of persistent fencers - young and old. The width is the birthplace of the many good fencing athletes, but also the backbone, as in difficult times has saved the club.

Trekantens elite also has a significant role in the club and the combination between the elite and fencing provides a social and sporting a whole.

All club achievements, on and off the piste, is a collective and inclusive process where all members play a role.
Our thinking is that: It takes an entire club to create a masterpiece.

The triangle you will experience at quickly beginners, parents, management, elite fencers, coaches and friends of the club turns into a unit that together achieve outcomes and develop the club's objectives.
