The captain and his club
Fencing Club Triangle was founded on 16 March 1929 by Captain and fencing champion SC Olsen. There was adequate fencing premises vacant St. Kongensgade 27 and he decided with a group of fencers to become the new Copenhagen fencing club, which was called triangle, presumably to symbolize that there was fencing all three weapons: sword, saber and foil.

The children were the club's future and therefore began the captain shortly after a special children's section, which was named MARCHEZ. It had its own board of directors consisting of three children who were selected by the captain himself.

The military era is over
After the captain's death in 1979 had to move the club and was offered a barrack in Østerbro Barracks against the club itself furnished rooms for fencing. Young enthusiastic fencers who themselves had their fence-related training by the captain continued his work.

It was made in the belief that every child has potential and that the experienced fencers help to develop it as much as the children's aspirations and abilities allow.

The defense had meanwhile ceased to train fencing masters, then Danish clubs are now forced to recruit fencing masters from abroad. In the 80 employees Danish Fencing Federation a Polish fencing champion, who divided his teaching among the Copenhagen clubs.

The volunteer instructors continued to build the social and technical basis for fencers could have met their goals and dreams.

For many of these youths were fencing a key part of their lives. Dan Danish Fencing Federation in 1992 launched a foil-elite project in collaboration with Team Denmark was as good as all the young fencers from Triangle.

In 1992 the barracks sold and the club were again searching for new premises. Before new premises were found burned the clubhouse at the barracks, so the club had to obtain a new roof over your head very quickly. It turned into an expensive lease in Århusgade in Østerbro where the club again even decorated the room for fencing.

Scandinavia's first fencing center
Premises in Århusgade was within a few years too small to accommodate the nearly 220 members the club in 1999 to invite 70-commemorated. The years before had the club through a targeted effort forward and developed the values that made the club tick.

The club may have new premises and through 4 years was not the place in the city and the unemployed locals who have been asked by Fencing Club Triangle: Mechanical Workshop Elmegade, Søpavillonen, ferry Zealand and many more.

All locations were tried made suitable for fencing activity, but the beaches either on local citizen opposition or an economy which is itself a big club could not manage.

Finally came the Municipality of Copenhagen in nature and did behave North First real fægtehal - which also became one of the finest fencing halls in Europe.
