Alexander Tsoronis was today in the fire at the Cadet World Championships in Baku and finished in seventh phoneme space.

Alexander remained after the initial pools ranked 40 out of a total of 85 fencers, but struggled in the day elimationskampe very top of the field. Only in the quarter-finals had Alexander beaten by the recent gold medal winner Alexander Massialas from the U.S..

7. space also means that Alexander has achieved season's big goal: to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games 2010 held in Singapore in August.
