lene_guld_2011Read Lene Jensen's report from senior DM:

The trip went again this year to Odense, which hosted the Senior DM the 2011th And after much frustration (freight company had burned summoned by, so there were no slopes until well into the day!) Started the championship with damefleuret and herrekårde individually.

In the ladies came Triangle nice fra start. Helle Djurhuus got bronze and even won my first championship. It was great to stand with the gold medal around his neck - but the best was the fact that I have gone undefeated through all the battles against the ladies in every ranking tournament. On herrekården Hellerup sat heavily on the throne, but both Reinhard Münster and Klaus Albert caning came in top 8

Saturday was the big stævnedag. Herrekårderne fenced team, and again put himself in Hellerup kårdekonkurrencen. The triangle got the thankless fourth space but fightede otherwise well underway. On damekårde individually, there was again medal for Triangle. Nina Aabeck showed enormous willpower, but was beaten at the very end of Louise Hooge from Hellerup. And also with swords were fighter. Triangle men made a clean sweep in the individual competition, and Magnus Norman Jorgensen became Danish champion, Sebastian Bring troupe was No. 2 and 3 sites took Jens Normann Jørgensen and Danny Wilson care of. And after a thriller of a finale, they were also home the gold in team competition. Helle Djurhuus got silver in women's saber.

Herrefleuretten individually was as usual a showdown between Hellerup and triangle. Scoreboard're not published yet, and I fought even while the sword, but was nevertheless seen an eerily exciting final between Soren Johansen and Patrick Jorgensen. Soren got the silver with a narrow defeat at 13-15. And infuriating 2 points separated also herrefleuretholdet from the gold when they lost 43-45 to Hellerup in the final. But with Ferenc as head coach and all Trekantens other good coaches at the helm, we'll get even more fencers of the podium in the coming years. And three times gold, six silver twice and three times bronze are surely not so bad!
