Become a Volunteer
Your help is worth its weight in gold
Trekanten is a club with a high level of activity and we have a long and strong tradition of voluntary work, which we would like to invite everyone to participate in.
We hold rallies and training camps, we go on fencing trips at home and abroad, we uphold the year's traditions with Mardi Gras, Halloween and Christmas activities - and we hold some fantastically cozy lounge evenings and good parties.
This is only possible because we in Trekanten have a strong tradition of lending a hand when it is needed. Around a quarter of our members (children, parents, young people, adults) lend a hand during the year. It is beautiful and very, very valuable for our club - but we have room for many more.
Bake a cake or drive a carload of children to Germany...
The tasks, for which we can always use an extra hand in the club, are very different.
However, they always have in common that the task you undertake must be limited and manageable.
All kinds of volunteers are needed; everything from help setting up and tinkering at the conventions, to IT experts for running the conventions, people with kitchen skills, smart heads for budgets, doctors, nurses, people with administrative and organizational flair, sense of creating a good environment for the children or...or...or...
Here are some examples of typical tasks in the club:
- Purchasing and serving food and drink at events
- Help with check-in and payment at our rallies and camps
- Arrange public transport and possibly overnight stay at fencing events
- Help set up equipment for competitions
- Wash a round of fencing jackets
- Be a bartender at the club party
- Participate in the club's committees and working groups - or perhaps the board?
- Or do what you are good at: Make a poster, bake cakes, write news for the website, take photos, hype us on social media, put up shelves on the wall, or....
Lending a hand can be addictive!
At least it has become so for the large group of members and parents who help with big and small things in the club. You get to know many new faces and you are always in good company. The experienced are good at learning from them, if you as an 'inexperienced' sign up for a task.
So whatever you're good at, there's room for you - because there can never be too many of us to take on the tasks together and contribute to making Trekanten the world's best club!
If you would like to be one of those we can draw on once in a while when a hand is needed, write to
Then you become part of the team behind the fact that Trekanten is always a fun and active club to be a member of.
Welcome!
